BC gurukulam school principal attacked by husband in Jagtial

Sampath Kumar and Rajashekhar visited the school and picked up an argument with her. They attacked her in the presence of students and other staff.

Jagtial: The principal of BC Welfare Residential School in Laxmipur, Edelli Mamatha was attacked by her husband Gangipelli Sampath Kumar and brother Rajashekhar on Thursday.

Both Sampath Kumar and Rajashekhar visited the school and picked up an argument with her. They attacked her in the presence of students and other staff.


Escaping from the spot, she approached the police and lodged a complaint against husband and brother. Mamatha, in her complaint, informed that she has been harassed by her husband for additional dowry of Rs 5 lakh besides suspecting her character.

Though the principal was on leave, she was staying in the school due to family disputes. Responding on the issue, BC gurukulam schools district Convener Susmitha and Regional Coordinating Officer Anjali enquired about the incident.

Based on the complaint, police registered the case against Sampath Kumar and Rajashekhar, SI Sudhakar said.
