Hyderabad: BC Patnaik took charge as Managing Director of Life Insurance Corporation of India.

According to a press release, Patnaik was elevated to the rank of Managing Director, Life Insurance Corporation of India, on October 1. Earlier, he was working as the secretary general, Council for Insurance Ombudsman (CIO), Mumbai, prior to which he was the Director of Zonal Training Centre of the North Central Zone of LIC at Agra.

Patnaik joined the LIC in 1986, and in a career spanning over three decades, he had occupied several important positions in the areas of marketing, sales, new business, personnel, pension and customer relationship management. His innovative style of working, people orientation, marketing brilliance and customer service has helped him in building a successful career, the release added.
