BDL’s product exhibition ends on high note in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: The product exhibition organised at Kanchanbagh, Hyderabad and Visakhapatnam Units of Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL) concluded on a high note on Sunday. The exhibition was organised from December 13 as a part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav being celebrated by the nation to commemorate 75 years of India’s Independence.
Students from various schools and colleges visited the exhibition, in addition to the general public and officers from the Indian Air Force. There was excitement among people who visited the display, as this was a rare opportunity for them to see physically the various types of weapons which can be used by the armed forces to safeguard the nation.
Display of weaponry
Products on display included Anti-Tank Guided Missiles, Surface-to-Air Missiles, Air-to-Air Missiles, Missile Launchers, Underwater weapons, Counter Measures etc. The exhibition also showcased products which BDL is offering for export to friendly foreign countries.
During the exhibition, product film of the company was also screened to give the visitors a better understanding of products on display and a graffiti wall was set up for the visitors to share their experience/feedback after their visit to the exhibition area, a press release said. The exhibition had a footfall of over 15,000 persons during the period, both Kanchanbagh and Visakhapatnam units, put together.
Commodore Siddharth Mishra (Retd), CMD, BDL stated “BDL has displayed a variety of products at the exhibition to inculcate a ‘sense of pride’ among people, about the nation’s progress in the area of Defence since independence and how the India is evolving as an ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ in Defence. BDL is leveraging emerging technologies for its futuristic products. This has attracted more attention from the engineering students who have visited the exhibition in large numbers.”
