Be cautious while hiring Nepal nationals as domestic staff, says Hyderabad CP Sajjanar

Hyderabad Police Commissioner V C Sajjanar urged citizens to conduct proper background verification before hiring domestic workers, especially after the alleged involvement of a Nepalese housemaid in the murder of former Andhra Pradesh DGP Vinay Ranjan Rao’s wife in Jubilee Hills.

Hyderabad: City Police Commissioner of Police, VC Sajjanar asked the citizens to be on alert regarding the Nepal nationals working as housemaids, security guards and drivers in the city.

Following the incident of murder of Tanuja Ranjan, wife of Vinay Ranjan Rao, former DGP Andhra Pradesh by a housemaid Kalpana, who later decamped with valuables from a house at Jubilee Hills on Friday, the Hyderabad CP, Sajjanar said that the people should careful while appointing Nepal nationals in their houses as servants.

“Despite some many incidents of robberies involving Nepal gangs across India, without verifying the background the people are hiring the Nepalis in their houses. People should be alert and careful ,” said Sajjanar.
