Hyderabad: Agriculture Minister S. Niranjan Reddy on Sunday advised people to be extra cautious in the next two months in the wake of the second wave of Covid-19 pandemic.

In a teleconference with officials and elected representatives, he said Telangana was in the forefront and far ahead in conducting Covid tests and administering vaccines when compared to BJP-ruled States in the country.

He welcomed the decision taken by Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao to administer Covid vaccine to everyone in the State free of cost.

“It is the responsibility of officials to administer vaccines to everyone by sensitizing people about its advantages,” he said, and urged the authorities to educate villagers about the disadvantages of gatherings during festivities.

Family functions should be organized only with limited members, he advised.
