Hyderabad: It’s that time of the year again — when everything around us is gloomy and cheerless. Luckily for us, our wardrobe need not match the weather. Fashion experts everywhere are swearing by flower power this monsoon season. No wonder then that a slew of stars are being spotted in vibrant floral outfits lately. Be it Hollywood, Bollywood, or the Telugu film industry, the trend is picking up majorly.

A few days ago, Priyanka Chopra wore a flirty floral red dress at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Ohio with her mother, Madhu Chopra. Rakul Preet Singh, too, shared a picture on Instagram recently wearing a red floral off-shoulder dress. And who can forget Vidya Balan’s floral maxi dress she wore for the promotions of her upcoming film Sherni? Balan also opted for a floral sari for another promotional event.

On the other hand, Keerthy Suresh’s pink sleeveless floral dress made everyone go ‘wow!’ She had shared a photo in the outfit on Instagram and aptly captioned it, “Blooming”. Wife of actor Jr NTR, Pranathi, was also spotted in Hyderabad, in recent times, slaying the look in a floral ensemble.

Daughter of King of Pop Michael Jackson, actor-model Paris Jackson, displayed her unique sense of style in a green and white floral Vivienne Westwood gown that featured a Bardot sleeve, as she attended a screening of Fast and Furious 9.

So, what makes this trend so special? It seems floral designs are adding a sense of positivity in these Covid times. Vibrant, colourful, flirty, fun and flattering, this print is just right for lunch dates, when WFO resumes and even for a casual dinner or day outing to the mall. As bright as they are, floral outfits work well with minimum jewellery and a no-makeup look.

Big fashion houses such as Gucci, Dolce & Gabbana, Zara, Richard Quinn, Oscar de la Renta and Tom Ford have also included floral designs in their 2021 collection. What are you waiting for?
