Begumpet police arrest two for burglaries, recover Rs 40 lakh property

Begumpet police arrested B Pradeep (25) and E Praveen Kumar (32) for burglaries across the city. Rs 40 lakh worth of gold, silver, and cash was recovered using CCTV evidence. Both suspects were produced in court and remanded.

Hyderabad: The Begumpet police arrested two property offenders who are involved in the burglaries in the city and seized property worth Rs 40 lakh from them.

The arrested persons are B Pradeep (25) and E Praveen Kumar (32).


According to the police, on Sunday a woman M Anuradha, a resident of Begumpet, locked her house and went to attend a function at Kavadiguda. The next day, the woman returned home and found the lock on the main gate broken, when Anuradha went inside the house, she noticed the cupboards were ransacked and property missing.

The Begumpet police were informed and a team visited and inspected the house.

On a complaint, the Begumpet police registered a case and, after verifying the closed-circuit camera footage, identified and arrested the two suspects.

The police recovered the stolen property that includes gold and silver ornaments, and cash.

Both the arrested persons were produced before the court and remanded.
