Bellamkonda Srinivas makes his Bollywood debut, film launched in Hyderabad

The yet-to-be-titled film of actor Bellamkonda Srinivas was launched on Friday in a grand ceremony in the city. Billed to be a mass action entertainer, the movie is a Hindi remake of the Telugu original ‘Chatrapathi’, and also marks Srinivas’s Bollywood debut.
Special guests including SS Rajamouli and Sukumar, besides the key team of Bellamkonda Srinivas, director VV Vinayak, and Dr. Jayantilal graced the event. Greeting the actor for his Hindu debut, Rajamouli has sounded clapboard for the muhurtham shot, while Rama Rajamouli switched on the camera and producer AM Ratnam did the honorary direction. The script has been handed over to the makers by Vijayendra Prasad.
Dhaval Jayantilal Gada, director at Pen Studios, said, “We are tremendously excited and thrilled to launch our grand project with talented actor Bellamkonda Sai Srinivas and renowned filmmaker VV Vinayak. We are confident that this collaboration will be loved by the audience and will make history in the Indian cinema.”
Srinivas proved his mettle as one of the most happening actors of Telugu cinema. He is known among north Indian audiences as well, as his Hindi dubbed movies have got millions of views on YouTube.
Coincidentally, it was VV Vinayak who introduced Srinivas as a hero in Telugu with ‘Alludu Seenu’. Known for making critically-acclaimed and commercially successful flicks, Dr. Jayantilal Gada (Pen Studios) is presenting the film, which is produced by Dhaval Gada and Aksshay Gada. Worldwide distribution of the film will be made by Pen Marudhar Cine Entertainment.
Rajamouli’s father KV Vijayendra Prasad, who penned the story for the original, is the writer for the remake version as well. Known as a writer for a few blockbuster Hindi films such as ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ and ‘Manikarnika’, he made a few changes to the original script according to the tastes and sensibilities of Hindi audiences.
Srinivas has been working out rigorously to attain the desired look for the film. Bollywood celebrity trainer Prashant Sawant was hired as his personal trainer and he even appointed a Hindi tutor to learn the nuances of the language to dub for his character.
Popular actors will feature in the film, while top-notch craftsmen will be associated with it to make it a masterpiece. Nizar Ali Shafi, who worked for several Telugu and Tamil movies such as ‘Bhale Bhale Magadivoy’ and ‘Mahanubhavudu’, will be cranking the camera, while Bollywood’s upcoming composer Tanishk Bagchi will score the music.
Anl Arasu will oversee action choreography, and Sunil Babu, who is one of the busiest technicians in India and had worked for films like ‘Ghajini’ and ‘Maharshi’ will handle the production design. Mayur Puri provides dialogues for the film. A huge set was erected in the same location where the village set for ‘Rangasthalam’ was made, and the film’s regular and lengthy schedule commences today.
Other characters include Sahil Vaid, Amit Nair, Rajendra Gupta, Shivam Patil, Swapnil, Ashish Singh, Mohammad Monajir, Auroshika Dey, Vedika, Jason and others.
