Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao took a sharp dig at both the BJP and Congress over their handling of the POCSO case against Bandi Bhageerath, son of Union Minister of State for Home Bandi Sanjay Kumar.
Taking to X, Rama Rao said the BJP’s celebrated original slogan was “Beti Padao, Beti Bachao” which is now modified to “Beta Bhagao, Beta Bachao.” He took a swipe at both the parties, extending his congratulations for the achievement. He also questioned whether this is the first time in the nation’s history that the son of a sitting Union Home Minister was absconding.
His remarks were a thinly veiled indictment of both the BJP’s silence on its Minister’s son and the Congress government’s reluctance to make an arrest.
