Betting gang nabbed in Khammam

Two mobile phones and an amount of Rs 2000 were seized from during the search

Khammam: The Task Force police took two persons into custody for running IPL betting in Khammam and handed over them to one town police on Wednesday.

Task Force ACP G Venkat Rao said that following a tip off, the residence of one Bodduluri Ramesh was searched where they found him and another person Gadde Raghava Rao organising the betting on IPL matches.


The accused along with three persons identified as Koneru Srinivas Rao, Kasarla Sharath and D Suresh have run betting transactions worth Rs 24.90 lakh in this IPL season. Two mobile phones and an amount of Rs 2000 were seized from during the search.
