Bhadrachalam excise officials seize 101 kg ganja, four held
Excise personnel in Bhadrachalam seized 101 kg of cannabis worth Rs 56 lakh during vehicle checks on Kunavaram Road. Four smugglers from Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh were arrested, and a case was registered under the NDPS Act, 1985.

Kothagudem: Excise personnel have seized 101 kg ganja and arrested four smugglers in Bhadrachalam town of Kothagudem.
According to erstwhile Khammam district deputy commissioner of prohibition and excise, V Somi Reddy, the ganja worth Rs 56 lakh was seized during vehicle checks on Kunavaram road in the town on Saturday.
The accused Saleem Pasha, Aarbaz Hussain and S Gulzar, all from Bengaluru of Karnataka and Rajendra Prasad of Puttaparthi in Andhra Pradesh, had purchased the cannabis at Maredumilli, Andhra Pradesh and were transporting it to Bengaluru for sale.
A case was registered against the accused under the NDPS Act, 1985. Bhadrachalam excise CI Rahimunnisa, SI Sitaramaraju, head constable Karim, constables Sitaram, Bhadram, Rakesh and Ravi Kumar took part in the vehicle checks, Somi Reddy added.
