Bhagyanagar National Dance Festival showcases diverse classical performances in Hyderabad
The Bhagyanagar National Dance Festival at Ravindra Bharathi brought together leading dancers from across India, featuring performances in five classical forms. The event honoured renowned artistes including Ileana Citaristi and showcased the diverse cultural traditions upheld by prominent dance organisations

Hyderabad: Featuring several dance artists from different States, the Bhagyanagar National Dance Festival was held at Rabindra Bharathi under the auspices of Srikirti Nritya Akademi.
Troupes of various dance organisations were particularly impressive with performances of Kuchipudi, Andhra Natyam, Bharathanatyam, Kathak, and Odissi.
The dance festivals were held under the leadership of Dance India Festival Director Dr Vikram Kumar, under the guidance of renowned dance guru Dr Sajani Vallabhaneni. Ileana Sitarishti, who was born in Italy and learned Odissi and Chau dances in Orissa, was honoured with the Mahankali Mohan National Memorial Award.
Several other prominent dance artists, including Dr Divyasena, Swetha Venkatesh, Kashmira Trivedi, and others, were also honoured and felicitated.
