Bhakti Jayesh wins Legacy Fighting Championship title in Hyderabad

Hyderbad: Bhakti Jayesh emerged as the title winner after an intense final bout in the Legacy Fighting Championship (LFC-2), a mixed martial arts championship, held at the Katedan GHMC Sports Complex here.

Telangana Sports Minister V. Srihari, SATG Chairman K. Shivasena Reddy, graced the final.

The event witnessed an enthusiastic response, with more than 7,000 spectators turning up to watch the action live, creating a vibrant atmosphere at the stadium.

The Minister and SAT Chairman interacted with the participating athletes before witnessing the championship bouts. A total of 22 international fighters competed in the tournament, which featured a series of highly competitive bouts.

The Sports Minister said the Telangana government was committed to promoting sports and encouraging greater participation among the youth. He emphasised that disciplines such as Mixed Martial Arts can play an important role in developing discipline, confidence, perseverance and a strong competitive spirit among young people.

He further said the government would continue to extend support to Mixed Martial Arts and other sporting disciplines with the objective of nurturing sporting talent and creating greater opportunities for the youth of Telangana.

Rajendranagar MLA Prakash Goud, National Mixed Martial Arts Association Joint Secretary Sheikh Khalid, Alpha Global CEO Tayaba Sultana also attended the valedictory function.
