Hyderabad: Bharat Biotech International has signed an agreement with Brazil’s Health Ministry for supply of 20 million doses of Covaxin. The value of the deal is estimated at around Rs 2,140 crore ($1.6 billion Brazilian real).

The company said it has partnered with Brazil in its battle against Covid-19 and is keen to aid the nation’s immunisation programme against the virus. It has signed an agreement for delivery of Covaxin during the second and third quarters of 2021.


There is a strong interest in Covaxin from many countries around the world, and the company is fully committed to ensuring supplies promptly and efficiently, the company stated in a release.
