Bhatti Vikramarka orders release of Rs 163 crore for Gurukul dues

Hyderabad: Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka on Wednesday directed the Finance Department to release Rs 163 crore towards pending dues of SC and Minority Gurukuls, including diet charges, rent, and midday meal bills.

During a review meeting held at Praja Bhavan, the Deputy Chief Minister instructed officials to release Rs 51.36 crore for pending dues in SC Gurukuls and hostels, Rs 47.61 crore for Minority Gurukuls, and Rs 63.92 crore for the Midday Meal Scheme. He emphasised that the quality of food and hygiene standards in Gurukuls must not be compromised.


He also directed officials to conduct regular inspections of all educational institutions as per a fixed schedule and submit detailed reports on the facilities being provided to students.
