Bhavani wins gold in World Para athletics

Andhra Pradesh’s V Bhavani won her second gold at the World Para Athletics Grand Prix in Olomouc, Czech Republic, claiming the 100m title after earlier winning the 200m event

Hyderabad: V Bhavani of Andhra Pradesh bagged her second gold in the World Para athletics women’s Grand Prix at Olomouc in Czech Republic when she won the 100m gold in the T46 category.

Bhavani, who hails from Nellore, also won a gold in the 200m event on Thursday.

She is being trained by SAAP athletics coach Sk Jasim at District Sports Authority of Nellore.

AP Para Sports Association G. Venkateshwara Rao, SAAP chairman Ravi Naidu congratulated Bhavani on her achievement.
