Bhupalpally Collector asks officials to make elaborate arrangements for cotton purchase
The cotton would reach the procurement centres from the first week of November and the officials should ensure that farmers do not face any problem, Bhupalpally Collector Rahul Sharma said
Bhupalpally: Collector Rahul Sharma instructed officials concerned to make elaborate arrangements for smooth procurement of cotton produce in the district.
The collector, who held a review meeting on cotton procurement with the officials of marketing department, cooperative societies and Cotton Corporation of India(CCI), said the cotton buying season was about to begin and all arrangements should be made for the purchase through CCI. The cotton would reach the procurement centres from the first week of November and the officials should ensure that farmers do not face any problem, he said.
Steps should be taken to ensure uninterrupted supply of power to ginning mills and to make elaborate arrangements by working in tandem with other departments, he said, adding that warehouses should start preparations to store the purchased cotton.
