Bhupalpally: Five arrested for murdering three members of tribal family

On Saturday, the land dispute among the brothers of a tribal family has led to the brutal murder of the elder brother and his two sons in the district

Jayashankar Bhupalpally: Police arrested five persons for allegedly murdering three members of a tribal (Lambada) family at Gangaram village of Kataram mandal in the district on Monday.

The arrested persons, Lavudya Mahankali, his sons Bhaskar, and Sardar, Lavudya Bapu Naik and Lavudya Sammaiah, were charged with the murder of Lavudya Manju Naik (70), his sons Saraiah (45) and Bhaskar (35) and injuring Lavudya Sammaiah, another son of Manju Naik on June 19 over an alleged land dispute among the families.

Additional SP V Srinivasulu said they would soon nab the other accused in the sensational murder case. The police also seized three axes, two bikes, one stick, chilli powder covers and blood soaked clothes from them. The arrested have been produced in a local court, the ASP added.
