Bhupalpally: A woman was killed, allegedly by her husband, who later died by suicide at Seetharampuram village of Ganapuram mandal in the district on Saturday.

According to police, the man, Balaji Rama Chary (50), strangled his wife Sandhya (42) to death with a rope and then hanged himself. After killing his wife, Chary recorded a video and posted it as his WhatsApp status before taking his own life.

Family disputes were said to be the reason behind the extreme step. Chary had married Sandhya after his first wife passed away. Police have registered a case and are investigating.
