Jayashankar Bhupalpally: In-charge Superintendent of Police (SP) Sangram Singh G Patil has appealed to the people to cooperate with the Police Department in enforcing lockdown imposed to check the spread of the novel coronavirus.
In a press note here on Monday, he said that the police in the district had booked 225 cases under IPC, seized 340 vehicles, and 43 cases related to inter-state travelling since the lockdown began in the second wave.
“We have also booked 1,680 petty cases (direct), and 1,560 e-petty cases and 1,602 cases for not wearing masks,” he said, adding that they had also registered 131 cases for not maintaining physical distance. “Everyone should reach his/her respective home by 2 pm after completing their work. If they violate the orders, they will be booked,” he warned.
