Bid to murder BRS leader sparks tension in Telangana’s Mancherial
Tension prevailed at Shetpalli village in Mancherial district after a Congress leader allegedly attempted to murder a former BRS village president with a knife. Police intervened, brought the situation under control and said a case would be registered
Mancherial: Tension prevailed for a while when a Congress leader tried to murder a BRS leader at Shetpalli village in Jaipur mandal on Monday.
Sources said that Keshagoni Srinivas from the Congress attempted to murder Karakoppula Srinivas, former BRS village president, by attacking him with a knife. On learning about the incident, cadres of the two parties confronted each other, resulting in tension.
Police rushed to the spot and pacified both sides. They said that a case would be filed against those who attempted to murder Srinivas.
