BITS Pilani Hyderabad professor among highly cited researchers globally

Hyderabad: Pradyumn Kumar Sahoo, Professor and Head Department of Mathematics at BITS Pilani Hyderabad campus, has figured in the global top 2 per cent of highly cited researchers in the updated study of the Stanford University.

The acknowledgement is based on the ‘Updated Science-Wide Author Databases of Standardized Citation Indicators’ by John PA Ioannidis of Stanford University, which evaluated scientists globally using a comprehensive set of metrics. It includes citation counts, H-index, co-authorship adjustments, and composite citation scores. The August 2024 data update included more than 2,17,000 researchers categorized under 22 scientific fields and 174 subfields.
