Hyderabad: A Hyderabad-based businessman, MS Prasad, donated a Suryakathari (sword) costing Rs 1 crore to Sri Venkateswara Swamy at Tirumala on Monday.
The devotee handed over the unique donation to Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams Additional Executive Officer AV Dharma Reddy at Ranganayakula Mandapam in the Srivari temple, Tirumala. According to temple authorities, the divine sword weighs around five kg (2 kg of gold and 3 kg of silver) and costs approximately Rs 1 crore.
