Hyderabad: Telangana State BJP president Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Thursday said the party leaders would be ready for any sacrifices to fight in support of people. Speaking after calling on party activists, who allegedly suffered injuries in the clash with farmers at Issapally village in Armur on Tuesday, he said the party cadre faced several such attacks earlier. “We and our leaders and activists are ready to sacrifice our lives for the sake of people,” he said.
Those who are questioning the government policies were targeted by the ruling party leaders. The same leaders were resorting to attacks out of frustration, he said. Sanjay along with party MLA M Raghunandhan Rao and other leaders went to Nandipet in Nizamabad to console Arvind and party leaders who suffered injuries in Tuesday’s incident. “Our party activists won’t get panicked with these attacks since they raised Bharat Matha slogans at Sri Bhagya Lakshmi Temple at the historic Charminar in old city and Armur is not a big deal,” he said. Stating that the BJP would always oppose attacks, Sanjay said the party activists would fight in a democratic manner.
He found fault with the district administration for failing to provide security during the visit of Arvind to his Parliament constituency. “Where is the need for attacking Arvind when he was visiting his constituency?” he asked. He demanded the Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao take necessary action against those who are responsible for the attack.
