Nalgonda: TRS MLC Gutha Sukhender Reddy on Tuesday said BJP leaders were conspiring to create unrest in States where the saffron party is not in power.

Speaking at a media conference here, Sukhender Reddy said the Narendra Modi government was trying to create fear among leaders of non-BJP parties with IT and CBI raids in the country. “It is conspiring to implement the same plan in Telangana too,” he said.

The BJP, he said, was also conspiring to create religion-based rift among the people of the country for its political gains. “The Centre is taking away the powers from States much to the detriment of federal spirit,” he said.

Slamming the State BJP leaders for violating Covid norms stipulated by the Centre, the MLC said it was unfortunate that the saffron party leaders were opposing GO No. 317, which was brought in by the State government to identify vacancies by transferring employees to their zones. He pointed out that the State government had initiated steps to fill up vacant posts.

Stating that 98 per cent of the beneficiaries of Rythu Bandhu scheme were small and marginal farmers, he asked the farmers to participate in the Rythu Bandhu celebrations at Rythu Vedikas on January 10, strictly following Covid norms. Zilla Parishad Chairman Banda Narender Reddy was also present.
