Hyderabad: The BJP’s corporators on Wednesday staged a protest inside Mayor G Vijaya Laxmi’s cabin in the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation head office, demanding to put on hold the budget that was approved by the GHMC council on Tuesday. They also met GHMC commissioner DS Lokesh Kumar asking for a ward wise budget. An exclusive budget for each GHMC corporator (wardwise budget) was rolled back around six years ago and it was decided that all the works will be routed through GHMC officials. Kumar said the points raised by the corporators would be passed on to the State government.
