Hyderabad: BRS working president K. T. Rama Rao on Monday took a dig at the BJP, ridiculing the party’s claims of development by pointing to recurring infrastructure failures in the Centre’s projects. He criticised the BJP leaders for commenting on the massive Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Scheme, despite being unable to construct a roof properly.

Referring to the collapse of the ₹430 crore Cherlapally Railway Station in Hyderabad and repeated roof collapses at the Delhi Airport, Rama Rao said that all it took was a simple rain to expose the BJP-mark development. He reminded that the roof at Delhi Airport had collapsed even last year and after reconstruction, it took only one shower to bring it all down again.

“It is a pity that they cannot even build a roof properly but want to comment on the Kaleshwaram project. I wonder which agency will study the BJP’s amazing new model of shapeshifter roofs?” he said, taking a swipe at the BJP-led Centre.
