Kumram Bheem Asifabad: The BJP drew sharp criticism from social media users for compromising its core ideologies to secure power by meeting the family members of Congress councillors during a camp held at a hotel in Hyderabad recently. The photographs of the BJP leaders and family members went viral on WhatsApp and Facebook on Monday.

The users slammed the BJP for setting its ideology aside to capture Kagaznagar Municipality. They said that the party sought votes using the nationalism and Hindu religion. Campaigners of the party often target the Congress during electioneering. They criticize the Congress and term it as an enemy of the country at the time of the elections, the users pointed out.

However, the saffron party apparently compromised its values and ideologies after winning in the elections by meeting councillors form the Congress. “What does their union indicate? Should one sacrifice values for getting power?” the users questioned. One must form opinions based on not only their rhetoric, but actions of political leaders, they advised.

Sirpur (T) MLA Dr P Harish’s uncle Sudhakar Rao, BJP councillors Vishweshwar Rao, Gajjala Lavanya’s husband Laxman, and Alladi Raj Kumar and Dastagiri from the Congress were seen posing for group photograph in the camp.
