Hyderabad: Stating that the BJP leaders have no moral right to speak about Dalits, TRS leader and former Minister Mothkupally Narsimhulu demanded them to name one specific initiative by the BJP government at the Centre for the empowerment of Dalits in the country. He wanted them to mention any efforts made by the BJP to end discrimination against the Dalits in the country. He dared the BJP leadership to implement the Dalit Bandhu across the country.
Narsimhulu that the BJP leaders were scared over implementation of the Dalit Bandhu scheme as it could trigger demands for similar schemes across the country and would become a headache for the BJP government at the Centre. “As a Dalit, I condemn the actions of the BJP. Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao is implementing the ideas of Dr BR Ambedkar through the Dalit Bandhu scheme in order to reverse the injustice done to Dalits,” he said, while addressing a press conference at Telangana Bhavan here on Wednesday.
Training his guns at Bandi Sanjay, the TRS leader termed him as a shameless person who was trying to obstruct effective implementation of the scheme for the BJP’s political gain. He advised Sanjay that before demanding the Chief Minister to deposit Rs 10 lakh into the bank accounts of all Dalits in the State, he must demand Prime Minister Narendra Modi to deposit Rs 15 lakh into the bank accounts of entire national population as was promised during the 2014 general elections. Rather than giving two crore jobs, he is privatising the public sector companies and thus, removing the existing jobs as well as denying reservations to Dalits,” he added.
He accused the Modi government of cheating the underprivilaged sections, by supporting the corporate companies. He questioned how people would survive, if petrol and diesel prices were increased on a daily basis. LPG domestic cylinder cost has gone up from Rs 450 to Rs 1,000. “The Centre cannot escape from its responsibilities and must procure entire paddy crop,” he said and urged farmers to join the protests scheduled to be held by TRS on November 12.
Narsimhulu stated that Eatala Rajender won the Huzurabad bye-election due to the unholy collusion between BJP and Congress, to defeat the TRS. He alleged that TPCC president A Revanth Reddy had sold the Congress votes to Rajender.
