Suryapet: CPI(M) State secretariat committee member Julakanti Ranga Reddy on Thursday said BJP leaders had no moral right to take up “Praja Ashirvada Yatras” (tours seeking blessings of the people) since their government at the Centre was responsible for anti-farmers and anti-poor policies.

Speaking at a media conference here, Ranga Reddy said the policies of the BJP government at the Centre had pushed middle class families into financial crisis. The hike in prices of LPG gas cylinders, cooking oil, petrol and diesel had caused financial burden on all sections of society in the country, he said.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi was ensuring that the corporate sector benefits from its moves and was not interested in resolving issues faced by farmers.

Referring to Praja Ashirvadha Yatra of Union Minister G Kishan Reddy, he said the BJP leaders were once again approaching the people to misguide them. He urged the people to question the BJP leaders about the Union government’s ‘anti-people’ policies.
