Khammam: The fight against BJP and efforts to dethrone it, which began in Telangana, would be continued in Uttar Pradesh, Samajwadi Party chief and former UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, said.

The BJP was trying to take the country backwards by creating an illusion of development and deceiving the public in the country. The Centre was copying the Telangana government’s welfare schemes, he said.

Stating that the BRS had supporters in other States too, he said all like minded parties along with BRS would work together to bring a new regime at the Centre with progressive agenda, he said.

Yadav thanked Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao for organising the BRS meeting, where the public attendance was in large numbers, to give a message to the country of the Opposition’s unity.

The BJP government at the Centre was troubling States where it was not in power. AAP and BRS parties and its leaders were being troubled, employing illegal means and misusing the constitutional bodies.

Ridiculing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call to the party leaders at the recent BJP national executive meet in New Delhi to carry out a ‘Bhajpa Jodo Andolan’ and that only 400 days left for general elections, Yadav said it was a good development that the BJP had started counting its days.

In the name of investment meets, the BJP government at the Centre was cheating the public. The Centre was hosting the G20 Summit only for the upcoming general elections and no concrete steps would be taken at the summit, Yadav noted.

Praising the construction of integrated district offices complexes (IDOC) in Telangana he said it was an example of good governance.
