Hyderabad: Telangana State BJP president Bandi Sanjay Kumar said that it was the BJP, which recognised the services of Dr BR Ambedkar and conferred him with Bharat Ratna. Participating in the ‘Bheem Deeksha’ protest near the Ambedkar statue at Telangana Bhavan in New Delhi along with other MPs, he said Prime Minister Narendra Modi drew inspiration from Ambedkar, the principal architect of the Constitution. Sanjay alleged that the ruling party has not fulfilled promises such as distribution of three acres of land to Dalits, jobs for youth and installation of a giant statue of Ambedkar in the city. BJP OBC Morcha National president K Laxman, party MLA T Raja Singh and other leaders organised the ‘Bheem Deeksha’ protest at the State BJP office in Nampally, while party leaders and activists held demonstrations across the State.
