BJP leaders join TRS ahead of Siddipet municipal elections

Harish Rao said the Opposition leaders and cadre were coming to TRS fold since they were impressed with the development the town has witnessed in the past few years.

Siddipet: BJP suffered a setback ahead of the April 30 election to Siddipet Municipality with two key leaders from the saffron party joining the TRS along with their followers in the presence of Finance Minister T Harish Rao in Siddipet on Friday.

Sivarathri Nagesh, BJP town Vice-president and Alakunta Anand, BJYM town Vice-president, along with 200 party workers joined TRS.


Harish Rao said the Opposition leaders and cadre were coming to TRS fold since they were impressed with the development the town has witnessed in the past few years. He called upon the newly joined leaders to gel with the TRS leaders and cadre to work for the victory of party candidates in the Municipal election.

Dandu Sampath, Alakunta Chinna, Bodas Kumar, Vallapu Malesh, Kumar, Venkat, Chandrashekar and others were present.
