Hyderabad: BJP leaders will stoop to any level for their own benefit and create rift and hatred among public, said Panchayat Raj Minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao.

Rao, who is the election in-charge for TRS in Meerpet HB colony division, participated in a door-to-door campaign in areas including Krishna Nagar, Mangapuram and Narasimha nagar along with party candidate Prabhudas.

Appealing to people to vote for car symbol in the GHMC elections, the Minister throughout the campaign explained the welfare schemes and development works taken up by Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao.

A large number of party workers accompanied the Minister in the campaign which witnessed enthusiastic response from the residents in the colonies covered. At several places, slogans of ‘Jai Telangana, Jai KCR’ rent the air and the residents trooped out in large numbers.

Rao said the TRS government would always stand by the people and work for the upliftment of different sections. “The Chief Minister has been introducing several schemes for the welfare of backward classes,” he said.

He requested the public to ensure that TRS candidates win the elections with a huge majority. “On one side, the Chief Minister is striving hard to make Hyderabad a global city and on the other hand, BJP is trying to provoke people in the name of religion,” Rao added.
