Hyderabad: The Bharatiya Janata Party legislator T Raja Singh gave a new twist to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s decision to repeal the farm laws bowing to the pressure mounted by the farming community.
Raja Singh maintained that farm laws were opposed only by the brokers but not by farmers in the country.
Responding to the decision taken by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to withdraw three farm laws, Singh said no one opposed the farm laws. He said the Prime Minister brought these laws with an aim to benefit farmers. It was brokers, who organized protests against the farm laws, in the name of farmers, he alleged. “I sure that farmers will come up with representations requesting the government to implement the same farm laws,” Singh said, adding that a fitting lesson would be taught to these brokers in the future.
