Nizamabad: After Minister Ponnam Prabhakar, BJP MP Dharmapuri Arvind stirred another controversy on Wednesday with his remarks targeting BRS working president KT Rama Rao and former MLA late Maganti Gopinath, accusing them of safeguarding drug users in Jubilee Hills constituency. He said the BRS was playing sympathy politics in Jubilee Hills byelection.
Speaking to reporters in Nizamabad on Wednesday, Arvind alleged that while BRS was playing sympathy politics to win bypoll, it should clarify who was responsible for drug supply to the clubs and pubs in Jubilee Hills constituency.
“Under whose watch were drugs supplied to Jubilee Hills clubs and pubs? Who is that local leader responsible?” he asked.
The BJP MP alleged that the fake votes detected in the Jubilee Hills constituency might have been enrolled during the previous BRS regime. He dismissed Rama Rao’s allegations of vote manipulation by the Congress as a joke, claiming that BRS was the original architect of electoral fraud in Telangana.
