Hyderabad: State BJP chief spokesperson NV Subhash on Thursday acknowledged that Telangana had emerged as a top performing State in the country in the last 10 years, during the BRS regime, while in the last two years, the State under Congress rule was pleading for investments.
“Revanth Reddy’s policy formula is to borrow today, bankrupt tomorrow. When faced with a critical situation, organise an event and abuse the past. This is his formula,” Subhash said at a press conference here, slamming the Congress government for its Telangana Rising campaign. In two years, the Congress government had secured loans of Rs 2 lakh crore and was facing severe financial constraints. To cover up its failure, it was now organising the Rising Telangana Global Summit, he alleged.
“This is just a PR event. The main agenda is to divert people’s attention from the Congress government’s failures in delivering promises made and financial instability,” Subhash said, adding that the only ‘rising’ happening under Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy’s rule were loans and PR expenditure.
