Jangaon: BJP activists allegedly attacked TRS activists when the latter tried to burn the effigy of Prime Minister Narendra Modi protesting against his remarks on creation of Telangana on Wednesday at Jangain Crossroads. Police, however, dispersed the warring groups.

Meanwhile, a bike rally was taken out by TRS activists led by MLA Muthireddy Yadagiri Reddy in the town. Congress leaders also took out a bike rally. BJP activists tried to obstruct both the rallies.

The TRS workers burnt the effigy of Modi at Jangaon Crossroads. MLC Pochampally Srinivas Reddy, MLA Peddi Sudharshan Reddy and other TRS leaders were present. Police reportedly booked cases against both the BJP and TRS activists.
