Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Saturday said that in the guise of the One Nation One Election move, the BJP was hatching a conspiracy to exert its domination in the country. It was very sad that a veteran and experienced leader like Sitaram Yechury was not among us to give a direction to the country in these critical times, he said during a memorial meeting of the CPM national leader here on Saturday.

Yechury adhered to his party ideology till his last breath. The Left party leader fought for the cause of poor all through his life. His family members’ decision to donate the mortal remains to a hospital was highly commendable, the Chief Minister said.“Yechury played an active role in supporting important bills for the welfare of poor during the UPA rule. AICC leader Rahul Gandhi considered Yechury as his mentor,” Revanth Reddy said.

Drawing inspiration from Yechury, a fight had to be put up against the One Nation One Election move, he said, adding that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s silence was a of his fascist policies when a union Minister made controversial comments against Rahul Gandhi, he said.
