Hyderabad: Union Minister Amit Shah on Friday exuded confidence that the BJP would form the government in Telangana State in 2023.
Addressing a public meeting organised by the State unit of BJP in connection with ‘Telangana Liberation Day’ in Nirmal, he said that on this day, Telangana got freedom from Razakars. “Once the BJP is voted to power, then ‘Telangana Liberation Day’ would be organised officially,” he said.
During the agitation for separate Statehood for Telangana, an assurance was given that ‘Telangana Liberation Day’ would be observed officially, he said, adding that the State government was now hesitating to hold it officially. He appreciated the State BJP president Bandi Sanjay Kumar for his ‘Praja Sangrama’ yatra that started from Sri Bhagya Lakshmi temple near Charminar last month.
