Huzurabad: Finance Minister T Harish Rao said either BJP or its candidate for Huzurabad bypolls Eatala Rajender has done nothing for the constituency.

The Minister said that in order to extend support to the poor, the Telangana government was providing Aasara pensions, Kalyanalaxmi, KCR kit, Rythu Bandhu, Rythu Bima and numerous other welfare schemes. However, Rajender was terming the schemes as peanuts and they would not fill the stomach of the poor. A rich person, Rajender does not know the importance of these schemes, the senior TRS leader said during the election campaign in Singapur of Huzurabad mandal on Tuesday.

Speaking on the occasion, he said Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao as well as himself got the best hospitality in Singapur and appealed to the villagers to give an opportunity to TRS candidate Gellu Srinivas Yadav by electing him with a thumping majority.
Advising the people not to believe BJP, he made it clear that there was no chance for BJP to get in power in the State. Likewise, there was also no chance for BJP candidate Rajender to become a minister again.

While the Telangana government was extending all kinds of support to people, the BJP government at the Center was imposing a huge burden on the people by increasing prices of diesel, petrol, cooking gas and other essential commodities. Why should the poor vote for BJP which made their lives miserable, Harish Rao quipped.

Asking the people to elect the TRS candidate with a thumping majority, Harish Rao assured voters to work better by striving hard.
