Hyderabad: Allegedly upset over his employer and colleagues suspecting him of stealing cash from the office, a man died by suicide at his house in Banjara Hills on Friday.
The victim was identified as B Shivaram (30), who was working as a salesman at a mart in Manikonda, was staying with his wife Meenakshi and his son at Deendayal Nagar in Film Nagar.
Police said that recently a cash amount of Rs 2 lakh went missing from the hub where Shivaram was working and his superiors and colleagues suspected his involvement.
About a week ago, Meenakshi, who found Shivaram visibly upset, enquired him about the reason and he told her that it was due to work pressure.
He died by suicide by hanging from the ceiling fan in the bedroom, in the absence of his wife. A suicide note purportedly written by him said that he was unable to accept that he was targeted over the missing cash incident and said sorry to his wife, family and others.
The Banjara Hills police are investigating.
