Mancherial: A blood donation camp was organised in Mancherial on Tuesday to mark the birth anniversary of late Meka Varaprasad, owner of Teja Lab. The camp raised 70 units of blood, and around 300 people were served food on the occasion.
Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) Mancherial unit president Kankanala Bhaskar Reddy and general secretary Chanduri Mahender said that several youth and professionals voluntarily participated in the camp. The collected blood would be used to help victims of road accidents and medical emergencies, they added, expressing gratitude to the donors and organisers.
