India's Under-20 men's football team defeated Singapore 3-0 in the first of two closed-door friendlies in Bengaluru, with goals from Rishi Singh Ningthoukhongjam and Singamayum Shami before an own goal sealed the win ahead of the AFC U20 Asian Cup Qualifiers.
Hyderabad: The India Under-20 men’s team defeated Singapore 3-0 in the first of two closed-door friendly matches at the Centre for Sports Excellence in Bengaluru on Monday.
Rishi Singh Ningthoukhongjam (45+2′) and Singamayum Shami (63′) scored the first two goals before the visitors conceded an own goal in the 83rd minute.
India will face Singapore again on Thursday, August 6.
The Blue Colts are preparing for the AFC U20 Asian Cup China 2027 Qualifiers, which will be held in Uzbekistan from August 31 to September 6.
