Mancherial: Two youngsters from Maharashtra, who died in a road accident on Wednesday night, were found four days later after their bodies went unnoticed under a culvert on NH 63 at Errayipet village in Kotapalli mandal.

Police identified the deceased as Siddu Ramulu Baguru Singh (22) and Nagesh Rajanna Mohatri (25), both from Thummunur village in Sironcha taluq. The two were returning from Mancherial town after purchasing music equipment for Ganesh idol immersion when the mishap occurred.

According to police, the motorbike lost control at a curve and crashed into a culvert. The impact threw the youngsters under the structure, causing instant death. As no one noticed the accident, their bodies remained at the spot unnoticed.

Locals discovered the bodies on Saturday night after a foul smell began emanating from the culvert. Following this, police examined CCTV footage from along the highway and confirmed the accident details.
