Body of 5-year-old boy retrieved from well in Mailardevpally after 15-hour rescue effort

The body of a five-year-old boy who drowned after falling into a well in Mailardevpally was recovered Wednesday morning after a 15-hour search operation by police, NDRF, HYDRAA, and fire services. The child fell into the well while playing.

Hyderabad: After nearly 15 hours of search efforts, the body of Prince, a five-year-old boy who went missing after falling into a well near his house in Mailardevpally, was recovered on Wednesday morning.

Prince had been playing with his friends near his home at Rajiv Gruhakalpa in Laxmiguda on Tuesday afternoon when he accidentally fell into a water-filled well and drowned.

The Mailardevpally police, along with HYDRAA, National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), and fire department personnel, launched a search operation that continued into the night.

As the boy’s body could not be located on Tuesday, the operation was temporarily suspended and resumed on Wednesday morning, when the body was finally retrieved. It was shifted to a hospital for autopsy.
