Body of missing doctor found in irrigation tank in Nalgonda

Nalgonda: The body of Dr Devireddy Jayasheel Reddy (42) was found in an irrigation tank, which was located near his agricultural land at Mella Duppalapally in Nalgonda district on Tuesday.

Dr Jayasheel Reddy was missing from his agricultural fields since Monday morning and the police were alerted to trace him out. When air bubbles appeared at a place in the irrigation tank, the police swung into action and took up search there with the help of local fishermen. They found the body of Dr Jayasheel Reddy at the place and fished it out from the water.

According to Nalgonda Rural Sub-Inspector Rajasekhar Reddy, Dr Jayasheel Reddy was not familiar with swimming. “He might have fell into the irrigation tank while walking on its bund. We are also investigating if he had committed suicide,” he added. The body of Dr Jayasheel Reddy has been shifted to Government General Hospital of Nalgonda for postmortem.

LB Nagar MLA D Sudheer Reddy also visited the body of Dr Jayasheel Reddy at the place. The victim was a close relative of LB Nagar MLA.
