Body of one of three youngsters retrieved from Pranahita in Asifabad
Police said the body of Zahir was retrieved by expert divers from a spot where he met a watery grave in the river.
Adilabad: The body of one of the three youngsters, who drowned in the Pranahita river on Saturday, was retrieved at Somini village in Bejjur mandal on Sunday.
Police said the body of Zahir was retrieved by expert divers from a spot where he met a watery grave in the river. The body was sent to a government hospital in Sirpur (T) town for post-mortem. Search operations were still on to trace the bodies of Irshad and Moiz.
Zahir, Irshad, Moiz and Qasim went to the river to have a bath in it at a picnic spot. While the three entered the river, Qasim was sitting on the banks. The three were said to have drowned at a deep spot in the river as they were not familiar with swimming on Saturday.
The three belonged to Bejjur mandal centre. Irshad and Moiz were cousins, while Zahir was their friend.
