Body of youngster exhumed for postmortem in Kondagattu murder case

JAGTIAL: Police exhumed the body of a 30-year-old man, Uppu Ramana Reddy, at Kondagattu in Mallial mandal, who was allegedly murdered and buried near the steps leading to the Anjaneyaswamy temple. A postmortem was conducted at the spot due to the decomposed state of the body.
According to police, Ramana Reddy, a resident of Kondagattu, had an altercation with a group of youths on June 2. He was reportedly killed and buried by the accused near the temple steps.
The incident came to light after the victim’s brother, Niranjan Reddy, lodged a complaint. During the course of an investigation, the police traced the burial site and exhumed the body in the presence of the local Tahsildar. After conducting the postmortem, the body was handed over to the family.
Police suspect the involvement of around eight individuals in the murder and have initiated further investigation.
