Hyderabad: A bomb threat email targeting the Telangana High Court triggered panic and heightened security on Tuesday, with the police launching intensive searches at multiple locations across the premises only to confirm that no explosives were found.
As per information available, at the High Court near Charminar, authorities received an email warning of an explosive device inside the premises. The message prompted immediate evacuation of judges, staff, lawyers and litigants from the court building.
Bomb disposal squad and sniffer dogs were rushed to the court and checked the premises thoroughly.
The Charminar police officials said the search was carried out as a precaution, and no suspicious material had been found. It turned out to be a hoax.
Meanwhile, the local police tightened security around the court premises and conducted systematic inspections to rule out any danger. Police have launched an investigation to trace the miscreants behind the email
